1、《A young man asked Socrates the secret to success》
Socrates told the young man to meet him near the river the next morning. They met. Socrates asked the young man to walk with him toward the river. When the water got up to their neck, Socrates took the young man by surprise and ducked him into the water. The boy struggled to get out but ocrates was strong and kept him there until the boy started turning blue. ocrates pulled his head out of the water and the first thing the young man did was to gasp and take a deep breath of air. Socrates asked, “What did you want the most when you were there?” The boy replied, “Air.” Socrates said, “That is the secret to success. When you want success as badly as you wanted the air, then you will get it. There is no other secret.”

《一個(gè)年輕人向蘇格拉底詢問(wèn)成功的秘訣》
蘇格拉底讓年輕人第二天早晨到河邊見(jiàn)他。他們見(jiàn)面后，蘇格拉底叫年輕人和他一起走向河里，當(dāng)河水淹至他們的脖子時(shí)，蘇格拉底出其不意地抓住年輕人并把其壓入水中，那人想要掙出水面，而強(qiáng)壯有力的蘇格拉底將他摁在水中直到他變得無(wú)力抗?fàn)帲樕l(fā)青。蘇格拉底將他的頭拖出水面，這個(gè)年輕人所做的第一件事就是大口喘息后，深吸一口氣。蘇格拉底問(wèn)： “當(dāng)你悶在水里的時(shí)候你最想要的是什么？”年輕人回答說(shuō)：“空氣。”蘇格拉底說(shuō)：“那就是成功的秘訣。當(dāng)你像渴望空氣一樣渴望成功，你就能夠獲得它！沒(méi)有其他的秘密了。”

2、《The Crow and The Pitcher》
A crow felt very thirsty. He looked for water everywhere. Finally, he found a pitcher.
But there was not a lot of water in the pitcher. His beak could not reach it. He tried again and again, but still could not touch the water.
When he was about to give up, an idea came to him. He took a pebble and dropped it into the pitcher. Then he took another and dropped it in.
Gradually, the water rose, and the crow was able to drink the water.

《口渴的烏鴉》
一只烏鴉口渴了，到處找水喝。終于，他找到了一個(gè)大水罐。
然而，水罐里面的水并不多，他的尖嘴夠不到水面，他試了一次又一次，都沒(méi)有成功。
就在他想放棄的時(shí)候，他突然想到一個(gè)主意。烏鴉叼來(lái)了一塊小石子投到水罐里，接著又叼了一塊又一塊石頭放進(jìn)去。

寓意：有些東西雖然看起來(lái)微不足道，但如果積少成多，便會(huì)帶來(lái)很大變化。

3、《A spider and three》
